Walt Arway
Walt grew up on the east coast as the son of a local home builder. He moved to Glen Ellyn directly after college to begin his carreer building homes. Since 1990, Walt has overseen our construction projects, ensuring our client's dreams become reality. Walt's exceptional ability to translate client's thoughts into three dimensional structures, rooms and features has resulted in many of the most beautiful homes built in the western suburbs.
Walt and Marv co-founded Rite-Way in 1990. Walt's last name, Arway, forms the “Way” in Rite-Way. When he's not at work, Walt spends as much time as possible with his wife Laura, their five adult children.
Terri Smith-Pfeiffer
Terri grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. She worked for a commercial builder in Glen Ellyn and as the Financial Manager of the construction department of Marshall Fields, among others, before joining Rite-Way Custom Homes in 2004 as its Chief Financial Officer. Terri has lived most of her adult life in Glen Ellyn. She and her husband Steve have an amazing adult son and three cats.
Terri, her husband Steve and son Ereck love to explore the world, including frequent trips to Cancun, Mexico. The love in Terri's life is spread equally among her neice's triplet teenage daughters -- JA, HR, KP
As an added note, Terri actively volunteers in Glen Ellyn and Wheaton with PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter). Among others, Terri has served four years as the Treasurer, and three years as the President of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce.
Marv Ritter
Marv grew up in a small Iowa farm town, left for college and never looked back. He moved to Glen Ellyn after graduate school, spending most of his career in senior technology roles in the financial markets, and 16 years as the CIO and CTO for a global professional services firm. Marv brings finance and corporate planning and strategy skills, plus small town values to Rite-Way's business operations. Marv’s last name, Ritter, forms the “Rite” in Rite-Way.
Marv and his wife Deb, live in Glen Ellyn. They have two college kids and a rescure dog named Cooper. Throughout the year, you'll see them headed north to Door County, WI for weekend to summer long retreats.
