Demolish Existing Home
Once permits have been issued, we will schedule demolition of the existing structure. The morning of demolition, a water truck will be on site to help control dust which may result from removal of the refuse. A large backhoe is used to push and chomp away the structure until the walls are flat on the ground. The actual demolition usually takes about an hour followed by one or two days of refuse removal. A large backhoe will be used to fill trucks with the debris for removal to a dump site.
Some of our clients like to bring their children to watch the demolition, and take videos of the action. Home demolition typically starts in the morning at the stroke of 7:00 and often is complete within an hour. If you would like to watch, be sure to be set up across the street before 7:00 am on the morning of the demolition!
