   Ahhhh Gutters and downspouts!, the unsung heroes of storm water management. Seriously, if it were not for gutters and downspouts, the water collected by your roof during a rain storm would build up very close to your foundation. This would increase the risk of a wet basement in your home. 

 

   The purpose of gutters is to guide the water from your roof to ground level and then direct it away from the perimeter of your foundation, which will greatly reduce the risk of water in the basement. Always a good thing! Although other sizes are available, we typically install 3" x 5" inch downspouts, as we find they are appropriate for most of the homes we build.
